Changes to Private Health Cover Tiers

As of 1 April 2020, your private health insurance cover will be simplified into "tiers" of coverage - Basic, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

For any procedures with Dr Meade, it is essential that you have private hospital cover in order to claim some of the costs of your procedure. Dr Meade operates at North West Private Hospital and The Wesley Hospital, both of which are private hospitals.

It is also important for to understand what your fund covers according to these new tiers. Please call your health fund before proceeding with any surgery to ensure that you are covered and what out of pocket costs to expect.

You will receive a quote for Dr Meade's fees and item numbers for the procedure, which can be provided to your fund to check your coverage.
